Sorry, but I don't have much respect for anyone who can dish it out but can't take it in return. The avatar WAS offensively racist, and the rationale for posting it was self-indulgent and puerile. Stress often makes us do or say things we would not otherwise do or say, but to build up a rationale to defend the indefensible strips the "stress" excuse away.
People on this forum have strong opinions, and most express them strongly -- perhaps too much so on occasion, but that is part of the give-and-take that a forum like this entails. Can't stand the heat? Get the hell out of the kitchen.
