"People Who Don't Want Their Beliefs Laughed at Shouldn't Have Such Funny Beliefs" -AD5MB
"If someone tells you he believes in and talks to an invisible bunny named Harvey, you put him on medication and a regimen of therapy. If someone tells you he believes in and talks to God, well, that's perfectly acceptable. Why that's the case is impossible for me to fathom." - WP2XX

Anybody have any info that says this is for real? For f's sake, I can't see any propulsion and anything, really, to provide lift. More power to the guy if it IS for real -- but that video sure looks fake.
If it's a war on drugs, then free the POW's.
All the world’s a stage, but obviously the play is unrehearsed and everybody is ad-libbing his lines. Maybe that’s why it’s hard to tell if we’re living in a tragedy or a farce.
I don't believe it is being faked, but there are several differing situations in the video. Basically, he is performing a free-flight technique that is quite common to sky diving. Where he is in the clear, at a fairly high altitude, he is dropping rapidly as well as moving forward. You will note that much of the video has him soaring along the edges of vertical cliffs and formations where there are strong updrafts. In those sequences, where he seems to be skimming just above the ground, the updrafts are reducing his descent speed and he is using them to enhance his forward speed.
The trick is in landing. Clearly they are wearing parachutes.
How it struck me, too. But some of the camera angles made it look as if he was defying gravity. Just can't tell from the video. But if gliding like that needs so little "wing" area (As close a look I could get at the guy didn't show much), why is this not more widespread? OTOH, it's a really, really fun video to watch.

I think he might be flying in ground effect in a couple of places as well.

This guy was featured on a recent TV show. Maybe it was Modern Marvels. One thing is clear is that it is real. They also mentioned that this style of skydiving was pioneered by some Army Jumpers during the Vietnam war and at very high altitudes......something about a convenient way to insert people into countries where we had no legal presence (Cambodia). With Altitude and updrafts you can fall gracefully for miles.
