Just ordered another Eric Bibb CD in the last half-hour and an Albion Band so I look forward to those!
But, yes, old chum, how much of the Stiff Records catalogue graces your collection?

Yeah, but you got a lot of cool airchecks.

Anymore, that's the fun part of my old tapes from the early '70's.

It is now! Back then it was pure cringe.

I remember using my CD/cassette stereo to record the CD's to tape so I could play them on my Walkman. That was back when portable CD players were not mass-produced/affordable.

Your post got me to google "Lee Alan's sign-off on WXYX" Finding little, I decided to Google the station I listened to as a kid in NE Pennsylvania, "WARM Radio, The Mighty 590".
As I have gotten older (Middle Aged), and sicker, I have been thinking about my chlildhood, and how much I miss PA. I was very excited to see that WARM Radio has a website dedicated to the WARM Radio from the 1960s and 1970s which is when I was listening. So many memories. And you know I was using my Portable Reel to Reel to record the music!

    Part 2:

My father raced at the old Pocono Drag Lodge in the 60s and 70s. Mom and Dad had an old 8MM movie camera and would film many of his races. In 2004 Dad found some of the old 8MM films (many had not survived) and had them converted to DVD. I took the DVD and used Movie editing software and separated the Drag Racing scenes from Christmas and road trip scenes and posted them to YouTube.

Today I found that WARM Radios nostalgia website used that video! Wanna see me as a kid? I'm at the end of the video:

Scroll down to "POCONO DRAG LODGE REUNION" First video.

Caution, This was my first (and last) attempt at video editing....turn your speakers down....I couldn't figure out how to get rid of the canned music

    Theft:
Attack a ship, kill passengers and crew, steal cargo, sink ship.

    Piracy:
Attack a ship, kill passengers and crew, duplicate cargo, sink ship.

Yes, the radio stations in this area used to play entire albums starting at midnight, with only a "Side A-to-B" commercial break.
Our local college station transmitted a tone to adjust the speed on the recorder. I had a reel to reel (revox) that had the tone feature.
