You know that green stuff that protects workbenches?

You know, the stuff that doesn't show cuts. Also used on drawing tables? What's it called and where can I get some?

Congratulations Mr I've been a lurker for 2 and a half years! Welcome to the conversation! Too early for a drink?

    We probably scared him off.

It's okay, Stephen, we don't bite. Well, not unless you want us to, of course.

All the world’s a stage, but obviously the play is unrehearsed and everybody is ad-libbing his lines. Maybe that’s why it’s hard to tell if we’re living in a tragedy or a farce.

    Busted!!!!! Doh!

Yes, I have been lurking :-) Although I have had my Tech license for a couple of years I haven't managed to move on beyond just having an HT and checking in on a few local 2M nets. I now find that I have the time to get serious and actually learn more so I thought I would come out of hiding :-) I've been "lurking to learn" from all the posts on here.

Been studying a lot lately for the General exam which I plan to take Feb. 26th. I really want to "move up" to the HF bands so I can actually find someone to talk to on the air (after I get a rig, of course).

Bartender... I'll take that drink now :-)

Cool beans, Stephen. I've only had my general ticket for a little over a year and let me tell you, getting on HF is when the fun of ham radio really begins.
