I have known people who had made their livelihood on fighting cocks. It is devastating to them when their prized fighter goes down. They are very dangerous. I have had roosters flog me. They weren't armed, but it hurts nonetheless. I can easily see how one with knives could kill a man. No problem here.
Believe me, I know only too well about roosters. I've had several with their natural equipment, and yes they can beat you up pretty good if you aren't watching them. I booted one 1/2 way to the top of my barn one day when he wouldn't leave me alone. He quit after that, and didn't seem any worse for the wear.
