    Snow

3" yesterday morning followed by sleet and rain in the afternoon. Then I wake up to an additional 8" that fell overnight. And the farmers almanic said we will be having a mild winter.

So much for Almanacs then eh?
No snow, just 2.5 degrees Celcius below 0.
We had 5 weeks snow and very low temperatures in November/December, white xms and all, then we mostly had temperatures above 0.
    Let the summer rip ;)

George. I guess at this point in time we can safely conclude that the farmers almanac ... was wrong. Even if February turns out to be very mild this will still go down as a rough winter. Even up here I have never seen snow after snow pile up on top of each other with no significant melting in between.

I guess the chipmunk, or the cow, or chicken or whatever the Farmers Almanac uses to predict the weather isn't very reliable. Maybe they should invest in a ouija board. ..

They are probably as accurate as the people on TV .

Holy Schitt. Did I say 8". After I went outside I saw it was more like 12" to 15". I could use the V8 powered job this morning.

Really nasty stuff here. Heavy as all hell, pulling over evergreens, especially Leylands, and dragging the branches of the hardwoods very low. May be busting up my crape myrtles, but I can't see out to tell --- the damn branches being so low and so full of heavy, gluey snow that you can't see through them!

Lost power several times through the night; had to reset some clocks, but mostly the automatic coffee maker. Had to do a manual perk on that... which meant having to wait. Oughta sue somebody over that.

You guys need that on the east coast. Gives the news idiots something to do besides politics bullsnot. Remember when we get a big blast of snow, It is allways followed by 20 below or colder temps for week. You guys got the ocean to warm ya up.
