    Dandelion Wine

    Yea, it's for real.

I only had it once the only time I was ever at my paternal grandparents over the holidays. Grandma insisted on serving it to us one afternoon. We politely sipped it (very small sips) to be polite but it was kinda nasty.

But then, I was young and hadn't even developed a taste for dry wines yet, so maybe it was actually better than I thought then. Anyone else have this unique experience?

All the world’s a stage, but obviously the play is unrehearsed and everybody is ad-libbing his lines. Maybe that’s why it’s hard to tell if we’re living in a tragedy or a farce.

Many Middle Eastern confections contain rose from rose infused water.
Most exotic wine? Meade made by Dwarfs. No joke. Have not had another meade anywhere even close to matching it.

I have had non-alcoholic rose petal beverage (from Iran) and it was very good too.

This was made by an old timer (man) I knew many years ago in PA. It was a sipper, like something for after dinner but I don't remember it as being particularly sweet. Exotic, perfumey flavor.

My mind (what's left of it, anyway) is working overtime figuring out what advantage being short has in making Meade.

The recipe is closely guarded (about 5000 years old) and it does more than just give you a "buzz." It contains no other drug than alcohol but like many meades, it is made with a combination of herbs and honey. Where the honey is obtained is what is of great secret and celebration for them. Entire families have died guarding the secret of the location of the honey and the pollen patch as these are not the Little People as we have come to know today. These are the dwarves of fairy tales that are real.
