That was great. So far I've listened to it 5 times. Good stuff.

No doubt. Time Has Come Today comes to mind too.

Haha! When I was an intern at WWMO waaaaaaaaay back in 1986, we had two triple deckers that were all sequenced. There was a special cart marked "BATHROOM." It was a liner that went "And now another four in a row gospel music feature..."

At the Ole Miss campus station , it used to be Pink Floyd's Atom Heart Mother Suite .

I didn't realize how localized in time and place Jaime Brockett was. I was in Boston when he was doing his thing in Cambridge, and I heard this maybe once or twice when I was there. Then, I got reminded of it when I heard it late-night when I'd pulled off the New York State Thruway near Rochester in '74 for some much needed Z's. After that, it took a while to find the vinyl (now out of print - but there may be a re-issue). While I was stopped, that station also played Harry Nilsson's The Point with Iblio and Arrow.

At that time and place, this was a massive hit. It had just the right tone for the times, and Mr. Brockett's high-energy playing and singing and speaking were very, very well received. Like I said in the original post, I'd give my left ...whatever... to see him do this live. Must have been AWESOME back then.

I see, though, that not everybody appreciates what he does. Ah, well, no accountin' and all that. I do think that the images in that particular youtube video are distracting...mebbe I shoulda found one without images. Now, I'm going to take my 497.5 feet of rope and get outta here!

Yup. Of course any one of Harry Chapin's story songs was also good in a pinch.

After you've smoked that much magic weed it doesn't matter if its USS, HMS, RSS, CIA, FBI, NSA...
