Or,
Do you get a little suspicious when a pic in an ad looks like this?
What's wrong with backing up a step, and getting the whole thing?
Those are good rigs BTW.

Ummmm, no I'm not peeing in my gas tank :)
Your suspicions are probably well-founded.
I would love to have a -751A. Would match the R-71A/R-7000 lineup I currently have in the shack.

It does make one wonder. That being said, most of the time I think it's just someone who doesn't know how to take a picture of their rig, or thinks that that's "good enough," more than anything malicious going on.
But if in doubt, ask for more photos. If they are declined, then I'd probably walk away.

Well,
At least that half of the rig looks good.
I've had several of them,and can't remember why I sold,donated them away.

I kinda agree the guy can't do a photo well. I would certainly ask for some more photos. The photo situation has always been kinda sucko at that site. Not having a web site to link to, and not wanting to link to a photo host, it would be nice to be able to post three or four photos on a listing instead of only one.
I've never used their site so I don't know if there is an issue that lies in the way it displays a photo that may take up too much area. It would be kind of funny though if the unseen part of the radio was demolished like the Collins gear I've seen for sale out of Israel on Ebay.

Keeping the 'for sale' discussion going....single-boxed "with lots of bubble wrap" vs double-boxed: Which is more likely to survive a cross-country trip? And would bubble wrap alone be sufficient to ensure a radio such as the -751 would arrive undamaged?
"Everyone wants to be an AM Gangsta until it's time to start doing AM Gangsta shit."
Double boxed, and bubble wrap, lot's of it.
There needs to be enough packing where the inner box can't move, and the item itself needs to be tightly packed.
