    ... a factor of 10

    http://www.aolnews.com/science/artic...2?ncid=webmail

By the time scientists finish poring over the data, "I am convinced Comet Hartley will have increased our knowledge of how comets work by at least ... a factor of 10," the mission's chief scientist, Michael A'Hearn of the University of Maryland, said at a post-flyby briefing.
    NASA / JPL-Caltech / UMD
This close-up view of Comet Hartley 2 was taken by NASA's Deep Impact spacecraft during its flyby of the comet Thursday. It was captured by the spacecraft's medium-resolution instrument.
Cool Surprise! Just like reading those science fiction books of my yoot.

All the world’s a stage, but obviously the play is unrehearsed and everybody is ad-libbing his lines. Maybe that’s why it’s hard to tell if we’re living in a tragedy or a farce.

    Hello

Amazing that it was supposed to have quit working a few years back. Awesome pics of the comet.

Imagine if we could land a research probe on a comet and record all that it sees on its voyage.

I know someone who was one parked in his driveway.
I keep my 2 feet on the ground, and my head in the twilight zone.
