Lawsuit based on lack of security?

    Hello.

Some woman who was hired for a telemarketers position with West was let go for whatever reason has decided to file a lawsuit.
Her complaint is that she was not provided with a security escort.
Normally when it is dark and a security officer is available one may walk a group of people to their car but is not expected to stay.
When the ladies arrive they are expected to fend for themselves as security has no idea as to where they may have parked and to find them would take too much time.
Anyhow, the lady was tardy several times and that along with other troubles caused her termination.
Her complaint is that she was afraid to leave her car until it was all clear, as other employees caused her concern.
She has also pointed out that one night she was escorted to her car and discovered her car would not start but security had already left leaving her "stranded".
When she finally "braved" to the building security had advised her that they could not help har with jumper cables and she had no one else to turn to.
This traumatic event caused her to have troubles.

Facts be known there was no incident at this place of employment while she was employed there.
She argues that she was raped a few years back and that this leaves her "sensitive" but not at this place or anywhere near the place.

Proof that filing a suit is easy. Winning it, well, that's a little tougher.

As far as her story goes, as presented here, I say: Male bovine excrement!

When I was first hired by the engineering firm, they had one person with an office in a different building in the office complex.

Supposedly she couldn't handle the environment of the main building. Allergies to this that & the other. I never did get the full story on that.

Last I heard of her was shortly after she had made some additional requests for, ah, special considerations. And then someone caught her in her office doing several things that were not work related. Now no one who knew for sure actually said anything (HR was concerned about lawsuits) but rumor had it that it involved her boyfriend... and another young lady. BTW, did I mention that she was married?

Most businesses forbid an employee from bringing firearms onto their premises. That includes carrying one in your car if you're parking on their property.

Recent decisions , and some newer state laws uphold an employees right to have a firearm in the car on company premises , in many circumstances .

dose you no good if you get attacked before you make it to the car.

I would seriously drop the suit bomb if i was attacked and could have defended myself but the evil company did not let me carry. in my eyes it would be there fault i was attacked.

It's not the solution to every scenario . Sounds like her suit is without foundation . Call centers all have strict policies about timely attendance . That ain't gonna change .
