Very true, but not at all easy for some people. I think we still suffer a sort of "frontier" complex, a psychology that is most probably the result of our lack of culture and history. Euros find it far easier to express feelings openly than do we Amis. It is a serious flaw, and it is one that affects (infects) our politics, as well.
