27.185MHz or 146.520MHz, in the San Antonio area we can not tell them apart. ;)
To really frustrate them I may pick something on 220 and QSY.
Most modern rigs can Receive there but few can Transmit. ;)
That or go AM on 2 meters.
Moral of the story is to operate multi-mode multi-band.
10 meters is easy, but FM?
160 AM?
For 10 an old commercial rig works well and is cheap.
For 160 any of the old marine radios is a cheap and easy option.
I can have both radios complete with antennas for under $100.
This is for used everything including the antennas.
