    Costco branded beer?

Was in Costco today and decided to check out their liquor dept. Never really paid much attention to it in the past, but while I was there I noticed that they have a Kirkland Signature beer.

Anyone tried this? Looks like it is make by a brewery in California (at least the stuff up here is). Only 21 bucks for a 24 variety pack. May pick some up after I have drank what I currently have on hand.

6 each of Wheat, German style Lager, Pale Ale, and Amber Ale.

Brewed by Gordon Biersch, a brewer out of the San Francisco area that has a chain of brew pubs throughout California. Passable beer, nothing to write home about, but at the Costco price quite acceptable.
All the world’s a stage, but obviously the play is unrehearsed and everybody is ad-libbing his lines. Maybe that’s why it’s hard to tell if we’re living in a tragedy or a farce.

7-11 is doing the same with their "Gameday" branding. Wouldn't touch it with a ten foot straw.

    Kirin Breweries Ichiban

I used to drink that with sushi. Something changed though. It goes right through you along with everything it comes in contact with.
    Now I'll have a Sapporo.

One of my coworkers - a home brewer - gave the Costco stuff a decent review. There aren't any stores in my immediate area so I'll have to take him at his word until I happen across one.

I never had Costco beer, I don't think there's one around here, either.

I did have Blatz once. Don't know where, though, maybe purloined from a yard party thrown by neighbors when I was a kid. I remember having Storz. A relative of [now liquidated] Storz Broadcasting, where I was once employed. The first beer I "enjoyed" in high school was Budweiser. Others called me "Toucan" becasue two cans were enough to get me wildly drunk.

In the Navy, I worked an extended period of time at Naval Hospital Bremerton WA (as a Hospital Corpsman on a surgery ward) and to sleep during the day I drank two warm cans of Oly (I always kept a six in my locker in my room).

Old Milwaukee gives me the runs.

I love Grolsch! Lots of hops, great aroma...
