    Loozie-anna hot links

    Made the mistake of buying some supermarket brand "hot links" AND the mistake of eating tew for a meal. Not very good, now I have to wait 24 hours and hope all will pass.
    Sure wish I could get some old fashioned Luziane hot links. The ones with the natural casing (with the little knots on each end) that pops when you bite into it. The ones you can see the hot pepper flakes and seeds in when you take a bite.
    Knew a place in LaFayette that had the best, served on a bun with home made Coney style chili.
    Took a friend there once and the place changed hands. Some Korean woman was running it. The hot links looked like the modern store brand stuff.
    She said the other ones kept going up in price. I just walked out.

    I've been hand carried out of "de Square" in LaFayette more than once. God I love that place.
    ...and I know what you mean about the Cajun food knock-offs. They all suck. I feel your pain, often.

    Condoms work OK for casings, but they're kinda chewy.
