    I think you mean Araucana. I used to have about 20 of them when I lived in Oregon. They didn't lay as reliably as my white leghorns but they sure looked cool and I loved the green-shelled eggs. Of course, I was using a lot of herbal supplements in those days.
    All the world’s a stage, but obviously the play is unrehearsed and everybody is ad-libbing his lines. Maybe that’s why it’s hard to tell if we’re living in a tragedy or a farce.

    I just Googled the chickens and evidently the Araucana and Americana are the same thing. Who knew? I guess that's what happens when you cross the street.

    Me too, neither. I don't address them by their biological genus names. I just say hey chicken, ya best be puttin outa egg, post haste, or your gonna be a burrito tomorrow.
