I only have Winder 7 on my laptop. It's in my car, and I'm too lazy to go get it.
Gimme a bit, finishing corn on the cob, and homemade red dill potato salad.

Add the directory (or plural) to a library, and it should be searchable, and right from that "help/command" line when you hit the START button.
Or make a new library, then add the directories. If it's a network link, synch it for offline access, then do it.
I tried it at work today. It's the libraries, man.

I've been using a program called Total Commander for doing stuff like that for a long long time. It's nice being able to see all the files in a directory or searching a directory or hard drive for the files you want. It's has a lot of neat features and macros for file mgmnt, coyping files, and all sorts of stuff. I'm sure there are many programs out there like it. I just got used to this one . If I had to go back to the cmd line, I'd be skewered. Besides, I basically lazy.

City Market Deli in Idaho Springs, CO. It's an "in house" home made.
Their soups are great too. The old hippies in that town can cook. ;)
