Auschwitz.
Anderson, SC.
Close enough. Anderson is just a few miles over. It is the heart of Down Town Easley SC where they keep the lanterns burning until 10PM!
Got this one today while having pizzeria on the sidewalk. Note it's coming from the other direction. Sorry, no Sunday alcohol sales and no alcohol period on the outdoor tables.

I live 150 feet from the BNSF Line that runs west from Galesburg, IL to god only knows where........There is a crossing 1 block to my west that all the west bound trains blow that very loud horn at. There is a crossing 1 block to my east that all of the East bounders blow that very loud horn at. Did I mention that Horn was loud?
I used to like trains............

never knew you could eat pizzeria, sounds like a case of the squirts after some Italian food...anyway:
I'm surprised they would run a UP unit on the point. I guess that is the NS main from Manassas, VA to Atlanta. I never rode the NS, they had a rep for being squirrely and unfriendly. Always rode the good 'ol mom & pop CSX in the south even if I had to go the long way round via Jacksonville.

I met one of these nuts in PA once. There are pages and pages of urls for these guys. They can tell all the different train horns by sound and some have big seagoing ship horns in their personal vehicles.

Not too far. It's a really cool place with the railroad, old canal ruins, Appalachian trail, and all that history.
