Wee Willie has been making up his own rules for a long time. Every time he posts, my morality sense goes off the scale.

I particularly like this one by K4KYV:

If somebody throws something away, it is abandoned property. I consider it free for the taking and never call anyone's attention to it, let alone ask permission. Is the sheriff really going to take the time to make a special trip out to investigate a small piece of trash "stolen" off a dump pile?
There is one way to find out. Don't ask if you don't want to know. The reality might surprise you. If you took it from a dumpster that is on private property, and being that this area was fenced and locked up that's exactly where it was, that's stealing. Many companies and housing units operate this way. I have seen people arrested for stealing stuff exactly like this. The big difference was they didn't post their five fingered indiscretions on the web on a site where your address is also available. Anyone, anywhere reading it could really make this an a big issue.
