    Amateur Packet and Linux

Trying to figure out what apps I need for using packet on Linux.

Also, how in the hell to configure ax.25's stack. Seems like there are bits and pieces everywhere, but no real "How to".

They're all there :) Do you know how to configure PPTP connections on Winderz?

It's documentation, that's all. In this area, the documentation is lacking, to say the least. All the parts are there, however.

But really, this is more inter-networking stuff, not normal home usage.

Are you looking to do this via TNC run in 'host mode' or by sound card alone?

Well, sound card, since soundmodem is out there (How to use it I'm lost on).

    Next question:

Will your communications consist primarily of keyboard-to-keyboard operations (or keyboard to BBS) or are you wanting to run a full-fledged node and/or BBS?

Right now, until I figure out how it works, my keyboard to a BBS. Maybe later, a full fledged node.
