I know you all had one of these...

Remember those Radioshack X-in-One Electronic Project Kits? I bet you do! And, I bet you owned one.

I've been hunting for something similar for my kids, I know it's what gave me my jumpstart into electronics.

Well, Rat-shack gave up on them for the most part. But...

    I had the 100-in-1.

Which became a gazillion-in-one sometime along the road, as the parts were "liberated" and found their way into lord knows what.

Snap-Circuits are the "new way" to go with regards to the all-in-one kits. I got a couple of the assortments for my nephew and he really enjoys them.

    How old are the kids?
Can you stick them with a breadboard, a couple hundred components, some wire and a couple of books?
    LOL!

That's the way I learned "how to".

I also have a half a bazillion discretes that I've been portioning off into 'care packages' and sending out. Charles got the first one and there's many more where his came from. If your kids are old enough to handle breadboarding, let me know and I'll put an assortment of components in the mail to you.

I used to sit and read every page of circuit examples in the Radio Shack "Semi Conductor Replacement Guide and Cross Reference."

9 & 6. I'm a horrible teacher, however. My wife and oldest have let me know that full well :)

They comes with a easy-to-follow book and wiring directions. I guess I could do the bread board and a bunch of books.

I do remember having these, and I really enjoyed them :)

I remember stabbing my finger tips on the springs a time or two.
