    lithium ion battery

What's the rule on charging? I have one I never use. Should I charge it every few months or just let it sit?
    Gratziay.

    More specs.
The one for my camera lasts for a couple of months and is now relatively cheap as I have a spare.
I just rotate them as they get used.

Not so here. The LI-on bat for the notebook runs from 54 to 150 smackeroos. I can get a new netbook for 250.

In all user manuals i have, laptop, PDA, Phone/pda, etc they state to put the LiIon battery in storage 1/2 charges in a dry cool place.
No memory effect, so keep 'm topped up as much as possible.

All my original Lion batteries last for weeks and even longer when not used. They generally originate in Japan.

The cheap replacements last for little more days sometimes, usually marked "Made in japan, assembled in China". Either this is completely untrue or they are "assembled" very badly.
