Another great loss to boat anchor/military enthusiasts

I just got a forwarded email from WB4AEG/Hal about AA4RM/Marty "Rocket Man" Reynolds. Apparently Marty is in hospice now for his final days and amazingly, none seem to have know he was even ill. Even those close to Marty in the boat anchor/military radio world were taken by surprise.

I'm sure many on here have seen Marty operating one or the other of his military pieces at the Dayton Hamvention on the 3885 AM net that operates during Hamvention.

I had noted Marty's absence from the recent Dalton, GA hamfest, but none seemed to have any info? Lots of reasons why we sometimes miss hamfests.

Marty is going to be sorely missed here in the South, he was one of my always reliable sources of info and mods on military and boat anchor gear. Here's to you Marty Reynolds.

I have a number of friends in the area who are into the boatanchor scene. Sadly, this type of event is going to become all too common in the coming years. :-|
