    2M FM Simplex

Is 2M FM Simplex dead, like everywhere? From Buffalo to Port Huron (The long way, no passport), nothing on FM Simplex Freq... :(

I was sad. I figured at least one fart would be up between 5PM and 10:30AM to chat with since I had no time to print a route's repeater directory.

But deader than a doornail, all 800 miles... Did I just hit a bad day? I know in Buffalo, mornings, that freq is hot.

No, back in Buffalo now. Got to PH about 12AM or so. I'll be swinging back in the neighborhood (Sort of), gotta do a Buffalo-Chicago run tomorrow morning.

I'm not putting much faith in the Chi-Town run, though. It's going to be in a rental, so no mobile unit, just a handy and mag mount. More memories in the handy, so I'll be able to program the repeaters that will be along the route, and some common simplex ones.

Just came back from Tulelake to Sac. which is about 320 miles. Had 146.52 on and called cq a few times in the Valley, but didn't here a peep. Sometimes, I can talk to someone on simplex all the way from Sacramento to the Oregon border. Just depends on who is on that day.

There's a nice group of guys and a few girls on 146.415 here in Buffalo. There's almost always someone on. I haven't been on in a few months and likely won't be anytime soon. My Icom 706 just made someone else a nice Christmas present. If you go on say hello to the bunch for me. They know me.

    Re: 2M FM Simplex

I remember someone at one point on some ham forum posted a link to a google-map application that let you put in a route, and it listed the repeaters along the way.

Does anyone have that? I losted my favorites :(

    EDIT

    Nevermind, got it:
