I received my Farnell Electronics (http://www.farnell.com) order in three whole days.
Sounds rather unimpressive until you consider the fact that it was shipped from the U.K.
Farnell has a lot of stuff that the big U.S.-based distributors don't.
If it's a Euro-centric (Siemens, Phillips, Plessey, etc) part which I'm after they'll likely be getting my business from now on.
Marlin Jones' site has some excellent prices on heat-shrink tubing. Thanks, Don!
Used most all of the ones listed. Another one that has been around awhile is jameco.com They have an interesting variety. If you need parts for old stuff try antique electronics now called tubesandmore.com. Nice stroll down memory lane.
Delicious toroids, ferrites, etc. https://www.amidoncorp.com/ and http://www.cwsbytemark.com/
Another surplus place to check out! http://www.american-milspec.com/ (bunneh likes...have used them before!)
Nebraska sales. mauser. and tower electronics are the one's i know of. Most have free shipping and the minimum order bit.

Here are some sites for Microchip samples. Haven't used them for awhile, but the price is right.
