COLERAIN TWP., Ohio -- Former Colerain High School teacher Julie Hautzenroeder was admonished by a judge Friday after being found guilty of one count of sexual battery for accusations she had sex with two 16-year-old students.
Judge Norbert Nadel told Hautzenroeder she was "stupid" for her actions and said she not only "ruined" her career but put the whole school district in jeopardy.

Hautzenroeder, 36, will now be a registered sex offender. She was found not guilty of a second count of sexual battery.

They need to straighten out the sex offender registry so that everytime a local news outlet reports a story involving a "sex offender" everyone doesn't go into full stupid mode and assume they mean child molesters.
If DNR or the sheriff catching you peeing in the woods while you are hunting, any arrest will lead to you having to register as a sex offender.
Recently the local news ran a story about sex offenders that are off probation being allowed to hand out candy on Halloween. The outrage from the readers was beyond stupid and the station never clarified that forest pee'rs are considered sex offenders. It was assumed by most of the people complaining that these sex offenders were all child molesters.

But, you have to dig a little deeper to find out the exact nature of the offense. The maps with the red dots on the addresses don't distinguish between a child molester or a dog fusker. Also, since the map they use relies on online mapping, the guy across the street who was charged with rape 20 years ago may have his red dot look like it's on your property. Then some people are just plain stupid and can't distinguish numbers in street addresses. 1728, 1718, 1708 they don't care.
