Heard the original "Monster Mash" on the radidio this morning. It's that time of year for the moldy oldies. (Where's Doctor Demento when you really need him?)
Did someone say Halloween?
That's that famous guy
Aunt bee? Aw crap I never knew lol
I agree that's just wrong, although funny as hell
Lame. Post the AWESOME (turning to spit) video, not just the song. ha!

Was he a freak? Yes. But you have to admit, the man demanded perfection in his career.
We were short on kids this year, only 415. This one was called due to rain. Fscking rain.
Ohhhhhhh, Andy!
Yes, Happy Sahmein everyone! The New Year is time for new beginnings, a new start in everything. What has died over the past year comes back, in a new form :)
We always strive to be the best in the subdivision. We always give out full sized Sour Punch Straws. We had several, and I mean several, people tell us that their kids have been talking about our house for weeks. It makes it all worth it just to hear the kids tell us, "Awesome, you're the best, and wow look at this (as they run back to their parents). When the police drove up our street (3 different cars), we gave them some candy and thanked them. They had the WOW factor. We may have 3 police cars drive on our road in a years time. Another great year, planning bigger for next year.
Free candy at the end of the driveway. Untouched. I guess because it wasn't baptized by a reverend pastor.
You talk about a haul. When I was very young, I remember my grandparents giving out not only two full size Hershey bars per kid (which were huge in those days), but they also gave out a full roll of nickels to each one, as well. The kids loved it, and 2 bux back then went quite a ways in the five and dime. Of course, they never had more than a handful of kids show up where they lived, but still, it was pretty neat.
Ah, the mega church up on the hill on the big road was having Jesus Halloween. Trunk or Treat as it is called.
Big event in this area.
With all due respect to the late Mr. Jackson, I have a personal preference for this version...http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b_wNjHIRVYc
5:00, a very light rain (that wasn't supposed to come until after 8 PM, thanks KDKA TV!), and I'm out working on the new front walk I just built. I miscalculated on three steps (didn't allow enough space for cement to hold the patio stones in place), had to rebuild the support under some of the boards to avoid a tripping hazard. Got done about 5:45
6:15, the light rain becomes rain. With wind. We get 3 kids.
6:30, the wind picks up and it starts pouring. 3 more kids.
7:30, the rain finally stops. No kids in the last hour.
8:00, Trick or Treat is officially over. 15 kids show up in that last half hour.
All greeted by Little Miss Field Day, dressed as a Demon Hunting Fallen Angel from the TV show Supernatural. Uh, right.
During the 2 hours of official Trick or Treat, between kids, we watched The Rocky Horror Picture Show on Ovation. She's seen bits & pieces of it, some GIF's on Tumblr, the few clips shown within Fame(the original movie, not the remake or the TV series). First time she's ever seen it from one end to the other. She's hooked. And she wants to learn how to do the Time Warp, again.
A few kids are in the area here. Zero trick or treaters tho.
I guess my blood sugar will be high for a week or so...
:yum:
Late to the party...was supposed to get together with a friend for dinner yesterday. Instead, I came home then fell asleep til 6:30...worked on a balky PS5004...then fell back asleep once 'DSG got home from work.
Missed all the fun. Trick or Treat was the previous weekend in many area communities. Those friends of mine with young children reported a chilly but enjoyable time was had by all.
Don't forget to turn your clocks back.
And today is La Dia de los Muertos—The Day of the Dead.

I had 0 come by my place for Halloween.. I did have my paintball gun gassed up and loaded for any little hood-rat vandals this year... They must've known that it was ready and set to full auto lol
Either that or the security camera's that I've got kept them at bay, although it could just very well be the new apartment I live in. Just about everyone around me has dogs, including the 3 my downstairs neighbor has... Hard to say really...
