I just finished cabling the IC-2KL/AT-500 combo...anyone want to help me test it out later?
Got to attend a birthday party for a coworker around 6 but I won't be there very long. Say, 7:30-8:00?

Sounds like a plan.
Count me out. Been feeling under the weather the last couple of days. Probably crawl into bed right after dinner. :yuck:
Well what frequency will you be on on 75 and 40? I will try and get on if I have some idea here to start looking.
i WILL BE THERE FOR SURE. wHAT STARTING FREQ? (cap lock fail)
You guys pick. When I get back I'll check this thread and see if anything's going on.
'DSG is driving. I managed to hurt my lower back somehow today and don't feel like doing a thing but going to bed.
I'd love to,
Gotta be in the General band though.
Pick a spot,and we'll try it.
Hey Charles
Well I am listening on 3654.37 now 2356Z
Monitoring 3654.37...
...and I ain't hearin' JACK.
Well I made one call that I was on freq and listening but heard nothing and now it seems like a net is close by. I think i will QSY to 40M
Well I am on 7192.61 LSB with my ears peaked to hear
Too much QRM at that frequency here.
Well It's bad over here but I can live with it. I think I am going to go to digital and then go watch Marty Stuart at 0100Z.
I'm on PSK31 @ 7037.15
I just got back from the store. Took longer than needed because of the YL. Now she wants me to cook.
See y'all in about an hour.
Got all tuned up on 40m PSK and then was summoned by the XYL. Might be an hour for so before I can get back to the radio shack. Need to find my little electric heater, though--it's cool (53°) and rainy here tonight.
On Edit: Got a 30-minute reprieve, am calling CQ on 7037.15 PSK31 right now (01:10z)
Or an electric pad? I can't do PSK right now but if anyone has any down and dirty ideas on how to hook up a Corsair to the computer for PSK I'm all ears. I have a rough idea to use the the input - output on the back and key it by hand but I only have a choice between usb/lsb/cw and the VOX may work sans manual keying. Don't know. I also don't know if the filter selections on the front also work on the outgoing signal or not.
Any info greatly "preesh-yated."
The VOX should work well for digital, USB is "standard". The Ten Tec might call it "reversed"... use that on 40, 80, and 160. My old Omni D would do PSK, but would drift a little with temperature. Just call CQ on the dummy load a few times to get things warmed up a bit from cold.
I'm at work for another three hours... HF is in the car, 40 and 20 meter hamsticks.
Damn sweepstakes this weekend can't find a clear freq on 40
Dave, I'm seriously about to go to the kitchen but how do you think 20 will be transcontinental? The ant for 20 is really loud and it loads up nicely.
40 may yield double happiness as well.
OK I'm off. I'll check answers as I cook along.
Well maybe somebody can clue me in as to what happened to PSK on 7070.15. I thought that 7035-40 was Europe PSK freqs. Anyway I went to 7037.15 and all I heard was contest it looked like on the waterfall. I will sit and look for a whaile and see if I can raise anybody. It's 0145Z now
Well I am going to call it a night as I haven't heard anybody so I am going to go watch TV with my Old Lady.
Well good night and may your old lady time be all that you want it to be.
Dave, I'm still going to be on and I should be through with YL cookery by the time you make your egress from you place of accelerated human activity.
I guess Dave must have found someone better to do. Er, I mean gone straight to sleep.
zZzZzZ
Wow! The bands are a free for all today! Does that define sweepstakes?
IRLP? CQ100, Skype?
I have 30 meters on, and there is some weird neighborhood interference at 10.135 to .140.
LOL! REVENGE!
