Who's the blond?
It's the high bridge over the Genesee river at Letchworth state park. I have no idea who the blond is.
Oh, way cool! Not far from me. I've been to that bridge a long, long time ago. Last time I was there was shortly before I resigned from a really BAD part time engineering gig. I had brought my kids there for the day on a Saturday and my pager went off (as usual!). The pager ended up in the gorge.
Me too....and very proud of it.
Now that I"m home & can see the pic....I'm disappointed that it doesn't show the canyon. Oh, yea, that trestle spans what is known as the Grand Canyon of New York State. Been there twice and don't have any pix of my own.
Here's some...

Google "letchworth state park" for images for more.
Okay, if we're doing RR photos, here's one of my favorite rail destinations in San Diego County, Carrizo Gorge:

Photo is not mine, BTW.
I rode a stack train over it some 18 years ago. I wasn't expecting that in NY state, and when I saw it it took my breath away.

The pic on the right is breathtaking. Cool stuff.
Most of upstate is very rural. Two miles east of me is farmland for miles and miles. That's most of NY state. We also border two Great Lakes, the St. Lawrence, the Hudson, we have the largest Forest Preserve (Adirondacks), plus the Catskills and Alleghany mountains. This ain't the city by a long shot.
