And then there's the phone booth scene, in Rain Man. Dustin Hoffman later admitted that he accidentally let a smelly one loose while he was in the phone booth with Cruise. The verbal exchange which followed between the two, in the film, was ad-libbed. It wasn't ever in the script.

Cruise deserved it, in fact, he should have dropped down and sniffed it all in just to get a whiff of essence from a real actor.

I forget the host's name but that little fucker is funny as hell in my book. You won't see that kind of comedy in the US these days. I enjoyed the SNL of mid a late 70s. Something else the likes of we will never see again.
