Rain and flooding. Many people are tea, er uh sandbagging. You would think that with a big lake nearby, the rivers could flow there, but no! They run parallel to the lake and away hundreds of miles to the Mississippi river. Give me a break. What good is it to have a stinkin' lake nearby? One of the largest fresh water lakes in the world. Worthless.
Places 100 miles away I have to drive 200 miles to get there. It sucks. But it doesn't suck any of our rain water. That is all outsourced to the Gulf of Mexico.
Sunny, 15 C but a bit windy here force 9 gale 50 knot winds today, weird weather ...
April, May and June are the hottest months of the year, in Guadalajara. It's supposed to reach 94°F (34° C) today, but the humidity is low and there's a bit of a breeze; so the heat isn't too bad. Just a few clouds in the sky.
70 °F (21 °C) and sunny here with a breeze blowing in off the Pacific. Damned near perfect.
raining here.
were still awaiting the supercell development...
I've always liked that kind of weather. I miss seeing a storm come in from the sea. There's a build-up much like a good book, then if it's a big one, BAM! Winds and rain. Great time for Clam Chowder and tea. That's the only thing I miss here in the hill country. The weather is more like what I used to see in NYC when I was a teenager though.
Overcast again and barely hit 60°F (16°C). With the wind it felt more like 45°F (7°C).
April showers bring snow, snow, snow. About 3' on the ground again.
Yes, I have noticed that too. The Brooklyn winds were like brick walls. When I lived in East NY Brooklyn I experienced the winds that would come in off the Atlantic and the lower bay. They were unlike any winds I ever experienced anywhere. I remember riding my bike as a kid up by the Ridgewood Reservior and getting knocked over hard by a 25 mph wind coming in from the ocean. It was as if I rode into an invisible brick wall. Not to mention the hard gusts that would hit the buildings, smashing windows, breaking walls, and smashing cars leaving them as if they had a head on collision with an invisible truck. Living inland these days the winds are different. Winds rolling in over land don't pack anywhere near the punch of winds off water. I say for a 20 mph wind off water it would take an an 80 mph wind over land to match it in strength.. I feel its in a 4:1 ratio.
Typical year round San Diego WX. Low clouds in the morning turning sunny and warm in the afternoon.
Sunny, 80 and tundur clouds coming and going. Moi humeed.
Dante didn't get hell quite right, can't stand humid. Well, it's tolerable between 40-60 degrees "F".
Hurricane Watch in Sullivan Co., one county west of us. They'll probably include us in an hour or two.
74°F at 5:00PM EDST (23°C @ 2100 GMT) with very dark clouds nearly overhead coming from the west. It ought to be a very interesting night.
Raim and 62.
We had snow here today. Nice seeing the daffodils all white.
it's supposed to be in the upper 50's/low 60's up there tomorrow? Right?
A friend in Kenosha called me today to remind me of the cuss words that I have forgotten.
Do you ever go to the Mars Cheese House in Racine? Best cheddar.
No. Never been there. We will try to look it up.
Right on the interstate, left side if headed North. You won't be disappointed.
Was 81 °F (22 °C) and sunny today. Lounged around the pool in my Speedo drinking mai tais and working on my tan.
Okay, maybe not. In fact, I repaired the toilet in the front bathroom, watered various shrubs and fertilized the citrus trees.
^^^When life hands you lemonaide, make lemons? :)
-1C last night, sunny now at 09.00 3.6 C expecting 15 C today
If you can't go to the swimming pool, let the water come to you...

Missed a hundred by 2 degrees here yesterday. It should be a wee bit cooler today.
Speaking of tornadoes. The United States gets more tornadoes than any other country in the world. The US also gets more severe tornadoes, EF3... EF5.. than any other country.
