Rainy and blustery here again today, and the NWS is saying that it will probably be like this for the most part through next week.
Rainy and mid-60s here.
TOR-Watch box to the south of Ahia.
I'll take this over the -5F and 50MPH winds of Christmas Eve.
62º and heavy thunderstorm.
January 3rd. Looking back to 2011 on this day, it was 19º.
Right now 63 F and severe thunderstorms here
Between late last night and until 10AM we only received about 3.6" of rain. (2.54cm)
Woot! Looks like it’s California’s turn for a bomb cyclone! No snow, though (except up in the mountains, where they’re gonna get several hundred metric shit-tons of it), just high wind and a lot of rain.

Nice day—72°F and single-digit humidity with east/northeast winds blowing at 15kts. Yep, it’s Santa Ana time in SoCal!
Whenever it happens, I always think of this quote from Raymond Chandler:
“There was a desert wind blowing that night. It was one of those hot dry Santa Anas that
come down through the mountain passes and curl your hair and make your nerves jump and your skin
itch. On nights like that every booze party ends in a fight. Meek little wives feel the edge of the carving
knife and study their husbands' necks. Anything can happen. You can even get a full glass of beer at a
cocktail lounge.”
Windy AF all night and continuing this morning: 20-30 kts with gusts to 40. I usually ride my bike to work—it’s only about a kilometer—but I'm thinkin' I may walk to work today because trying to ride my bike through this would be no fun. (Just FYI, I don’t own a car anymore, we use Ella's.)
Cloudy, no wind, 10 C here seems it is winter not seen it yet.... good for the heating bill though, need more sun for the solar panels....
Today it is late Spring.
Tomorrow it will be Summer.
The National Weather Service office in San Diego has just issued the first blizzard warning in its history.
67 f right now going up to 75 this afternoon. back to spring tomorrow with a high of 60.
Eighty Friggin Degrees (26.6ºC)
AND THE FRIGGIN POLLEN IS OUT WITH A VENGEANCE!
Only 78 f 2 hours south of you Charles
42° today, bits of moisture in varying states, breezy.
80 on the front yard digi-therm. It's under a tree branch 6 feet off the ground away from the sun.
Right now it's reading 56. Weather service says it's 61 up on the hill from me. I'm in a valley almost 100' lower than most of Easley.
-5.5 C this morning, later 7 C sunny no wind bit foggy start of the day.
55°F with rain, wind 20-30 kts with gusts to 40 kts. You know, just your typical day in sunny Southern California.
ON EDIT, 20 minutes later:
Now it’s hailing. Nothing like seeing palm fronds filled with hailstones when it comes to cognitive dissonance.
76º (24.44ºC)
Big pollen spoots (I know what I said).
Sunny.
Humidity 53%.
Expecting rain and 68 tomorrow.
0 C cloudy, later some sun 8 C no wind, dry.
78 f severe storms, should be interesting
Beat the storm today coming back from Atlanta but while I did my paperwork in Greenville it arrived.
It rained so hard on the way home I was going 5 mph with my hazards on and leaning forward as if was going to help me see better through the windshield.
A car was in my lane headed towards me as I approached downtown. I'm sure they had no idea what lane they were in. Fortunately I had a lane to my right to swing over to and go around them.
The windshield wipers on high could not keep up and passing under a street light made it beyond impossible to see the road. Then suddenly it stopped and there was a river running through the road draining from everything and everywhere.
Looks like the weather in the northeast is going to be a little wild starting Sunday for two weeks - time will tell
1 C dry, cloudy, some melting snow in the middle and south of the country, 5 C later.
83 F this afternoon. nice and sunny
-1.5 C later 5 C some snow in the middle and southh of the country, as usual here nothing..
@$#@$$#&!! Heavy thunderstorms and straight-line winds of over hurricane force managed to take the support rope for my 160-10 Alpha Delta dipole out of commission and down it all came.
Shooting another line as soon as a better quality length of rope arrives.
-1 C in the morning sunny day 10 KW electricity from the solar panels, 8 to 11 C daytime, low wind.
400 feet for the new 160 vertical 120 euro, 1440 KG pulling force, should keep it up in force 5 tornado ;)
Waiting on the overnight lows to stabilize above 48º so I can take the houseplants out. It might be after this week.
Currently 54º and cloudy this morning. Expecting that 76º good good today.
We had 80 today. Then we're looking at 40 by 7AM.
Had a light evening shower. The following few days is looking at highs from 70 to 80 with lows from 38 to 51.
April 19th and a winter weather advisory is in effect with school busses on snow routes in the higher elevations.
For April frigging the 19th. Wow
Sunny day, good for the solar panels, 15 C light breeze.
Took a while to stay consistently warmer so far this year. Night temps still getting down into the upper 50's.
When it gets wet it lingers for a while then we'll get a couple of drying days. So far this week has been dryer than usual all things considered.
Currently it is 83º, light wind and sunny. 36% humidity which is unusual since historically it is around 80% but this year has not been usual. Uneventful but not usual.
We're into the spring stratus season (AKA "May Gray/June Gloom") here in SoCal. Cloudy and cool, with occasional light drizzle. Pisses off the tourists who want to head for the beach but it’s like this every spring.
I love socal at Christmas just for the weather. August, not so much.
