Freezing rain warning til 10am here outside Harrisburg PA. Temp shows 33 and it just started sprinkling.
One of our wettest Winters in several years, too. This spring, the rat will be weed whacking till the cows come home. If the bastids hadn't left in the first place, they could have eaten all the weeds themselves.
We have a active tornado on the ground heading to the city next to us. And when the rain comes we lose the satellite so we can not stay on top of it!
Interstate 8 in eastern San Diego County is closed due to heavy snow.
We're are in the process of getting round three of the triple header storms, the one that just went through your area. It's pretty heavy at times, but it is expected to move out in the next day or two. The snow pack in the mountains is going to be great as far as ending the drought goes. I think I heard that the drought is considered pretty much over for California. I don't know about Arizona, but it sure has been wet the last few months. The desert is nice and green for a change, very pretty it is. I expect the wild flowers in the spring will be something. My cameras will be working overtime in the near future, and I suppose I'll be able to get a lot of alternate pictures.
Yeah, I'm going to have to get out to the Anza-Borrego state park in the spring. The desert wildflowers are going to be magnificent this year.
Please, PLEASE post some of those pics! A green desert is SO rare and the spring flowers are the bomb.
When I drove OTR I would try to get loads that went through the desert in Spring just to enjoy the flowers. You just don't see things like that here in the emerald forest.
Boy, you had to hit it right too! One day too long and poof
Oh, and thanks
45°F and raining here at the moment. Feels more like Seattle than San Diego
65 today. 70 tomorrow.
46 Friday.
Fiddy Tree Friday.
Beautiful clear, chilly morning, sunny and 39°F. Nice to see the sun again after this past weekend.
Fiddy seben.
By the time Trump gets through the average global temperature might be 50 degrees hotter.
Been in the high 80s here for about a week. Hit 82 day before yesterday. About a 50 degree swing from sunrise until around 2pm or 3pm. I guess it's good for the big golfing whoop de doo going on in Scottsdale. The usually have to delay the start until the frost melts, and/or it rains it out for a few days.
New England is getting more snow-but here it is 78 degrees today. This snowbird thing can be habit forming!
It rained gently all night and most of the morning here, but the sun is out now and the temp is in the low 60s—a glorious afternoon!
It's been a fine Michigan spring- all winter.
70 today expected to reach 76 tomorrow but with high winds. Too bad. That's riding weather for me. Would have been.
The Spring Mayflies are hatching as I type. Very delicate. If you can work with spider silk they make excellent top water bait. Wrapping them to a trout hook with spider silk is the only way to use them.
Temps in the high sixties with northeast winds predicted for tomorrow. In other words, perfect sailing conditions. I should be able to make it all the way under the Coronado Bridge to downtown San Diego on one close-hauled tack, then turn around and sail all the way home on a beam reach.
Looks like a fun weekend in store:
