Notice the only place on that map not on fire (that is a fire map, isn't it?) is the PNW? All this rain must keep the fire danger lower.
local NWS office is predicting a mid month flip, warm 1st part of Nov, then turning cold with snow. but enough of the 1st half warm will keep the avg temp above normal. we had 80s for 1st 3 days in Nov. last time we had 80 in Nov was 1950.
Interesting to note that at 11:30 AM on this day in November the digital thermometer on my house hit 19 degrees Celsius! .......it's never been 19 degrees on Vancouver Island in November.....ever! 17 degrees on Monday,18 degrees on Tuesday now this..... looks like new record territory. Bizarro :chin:
Probably going to hit 100 F here today, Thursday, high 60's to low 70's. Must be global WTF. My thermometers doesn't know weather (sic) to shit or go blind, even the rectal one..
If you hide the rectal one, it will feel just fine back home in it's warm dark orifice. Let the others suffer their fate as the global warming phenomenon sees fit.
Oh, still raining here, 55*f
It cooled off here in Sacramento. Upper 30s forecast for the next two nights, then a bit warmer later in the week. Days will be in the upper 50s/low 60s. And we will finally see some snow in the Sierra Nevada this weekend.
After 65 (+/-) days we finally have rain. Holy shit.
-5.5 C this morning, did i tell you i hate scraping the ice from car windows in the dark morning?
Now sunny, still - 3 C expecting + 4 max today, just a short cold intermezzo...
Ahhhhhh. A crisp 29 degrees F outside today, finally. I was so excited, I jumped out of the shower, and ran around the desert neekid. I got busted for false advertising. Who Gnu?
We in Michigan are wondering: Where's winter?
We could at this rate slip right into spring.
Some trees out here are trying to bud again. Their rude surprise comes early next week with predicted below freezing temps at night.
I assume that "anything winter-weather capability" includes taking the top off? So you are covered...so to speak!
I've had the front doors and front roof off, but that's as far as I've gone. The 4-door hardtop is a notorious bitch to get off (that's what she said...)
The windshield is also made to drop, although it looks like too much work for bugs in my teeth:

I drove for 15 years with no A/C. Not having to keep a change of clothes at the office, or worry about wringing out your shirts, is amazing...
Had a few brief EF-1 tornadoes pass through quickly embedded in a severe bit of hard rain in the middle of an all day rain. 64 yesterday and 55 last night. 60 today and about 37 now.
The fires are out around here in the Table Rock area SC and Lake Lure NC. Still a few hot spots waiting on more rain in Gatlinburg. Should be getting constant rain for a few days starting Saturday, late. Then later in the week 4 or 5 days straight.
It's just gonna plain SUCK up here in Minnesota on Saturday night and Sunday!

What's that white stuff??
Petro, Loves or Trails? Google is your friend when memory goes away....
Loves is new to me there, at least I don't remember one being there 10 years ago. Trails was OK, I always liked Petro restaurant. Maybe that's why I have the cardio issues I have now
Try to stay warm & don't forget to squirt on some #1
Trails is the Petro now. Just had dinner there. They sure as heck love their Vikings there...lol Sheilds and axes and big rune stones everywhere. I really like the place
Dont know how long the Loves has been there. They are popping up everywhere lately like mushrooms
I remember Trails as a T/A, huh. My memory IS faulty, unless things shuffled since I was there.
Quitting driving will always be my biggest mistake. It was the only job where I really had fun for the majority of the time. Where else can you get paid to be /M?
Stay warm driver, be safe.
And the followup....

The forecast calls for lows of 24 to 29 for the next several mornings. I guess that means I should cover the plants I want to keep.
-7 in Gaylord MN. On its way to -23 per NWS. Bunk heater struggling to keep it in the low 60's. Gonna be a cold night!

I remember one February night getting out of my truck in Fergus Falls, MN, taking a deep breath and immediately regretting it.
Yup its cold outside!
