Meanwhile, back at the ranch, I've been getting a small education the last few weeks on what a major pain in the assets it can be to place a shirt order. The boss & I ended up, amongst other things, taking care of the cast & crew shirts for Little Miss Field Day's final High School Musical.
The order is going to end up being 80 shirts -- five are 2XL & 3XL, so we don't get a quantity discount on them (they'll be $9 a shirt), but the other 75 are S - XL, so we do get the discount. $7 a shirt. Add in the cost for setting up the artwork, grand total for 80 shirts will be $650 . That's not bad, not bad at all.
...the best part is, before we got the final numbers, the Parents Committee decided to charge the same for shirts as was done last year -- $15 each. So even though the ADULTS haven't all paid for their shirts yet -- mainly the teachers running the musical -- we still have more than enough $$$ to cover the cost of printing. Remaining $$ goes into the HS Musical account.
Nah, those teachers wouldn't make the kids pay for THEIR shirts, now would they? Well, I'll make damn sure that they do pay for them -- no moola, no shirt.
