My current station layout is an interesting mix of old toob hybrids for working SSB and AM, and later-model Ten Tec gear (computer controllable) for all of the digi-modes, including CW. The Paragons need a bit of work (meter light replacement, one won't receive below 2MHz) and the purchase of N4PY software plus another sound-card interface before they're fully integrated. When done, I can work KB modes from my office desk via remote control - can't very well do that with 'fone.

Part of AM Gangsta shit is the old buzzard transmission with a purpose. High power glass transmitting toobz have a getter coating on the anode that needs to glow hot in order to operate.
