They're on the same continent as I am. They're not DX. Morans....

Well, FWIW, I've run into the same thing. It happened when I was experimenting with PSK-31 (which I'm going to get back to with the 'new' rig), it's happened when I'm calling 'CQ DX' on CW.
The bottom line is that some induhviduals are clueless, pure and simple.
Reminds me of two incidents from the past...
(1) Back when I was in school, one year we tried a weekly 'Penn State ARC Summer Net' on 40 SSB. Got disrupted every week by some maroon, who had no association with the club or the University of any sort, just HAD to check into the net, and proceed to tell us about his life. The attempt to meet was officially terminated when we got together for Field Day, it wasn't worth the aggravation.
(2) I was talking with another ham on 2 meters. We were both mobile, heading to the same destination. So a relatively new ham from a county away breaks in, joyfully tells us how happy he is to work us, and proceeds with his life story. He should have paid a little more attention to the subject at hand; we were both on the way to the funeral home, for the viewing of the wife of a long-time club member. Suffice to say, the clueless one never paid attention to the conversation he was breaking into, or never realized how inappropriate that 'break' was.
For fuck's sake, I'm already in a QSO, you schmuck!

I'm getting real close to starting a thread called "The JT65 Gallery of Idiots".
:wall: :wall:
I'm trying to work the JA, you fucking jackass!! If I wanted to work your stupid ass, I would have responded to you and not the JA.

Then he starts calling CQ on my slice of waterfall.
Fucking asshole...
It all started when poor telegraphers put the lid from a tin can on the sounder. Sounders are long gone but the lids remain, much to the dismay of GOOD operators. Oh well, we have tin foil hats to put up with too...
I find comment 'bout my DX QSO irrelativity
Think I'll go and twist the KNOB 'cos it's all for free
I'm searching for a reason to enjoy myself
Seems it's better done than argued with somebody else
(Freakin' LID!)
Hey, over, under, sideways, down
Hey, backwards, forwards, square and 'round
Hey, over, under, sideways, down
Hey, backwards, forwards, square and 'round
(Round KNOB that is.)
Our latest entry in the Schmucky the Clown column comes from this piece of work.

Not only did he call me twice after I was calling CQDX, but when I stopped calling, he tried calling me 4 more times!
Un-bee-fucking-lievable....
KJ3N, I need to work you sometime, I am missing Delaware and Oklahoma for WAS.
I probably won't be able to do much ham radio this week, but I need to get you in the log at some point.
Setting up a sked is fine by me. Just be aware of a few caveats:
1. I don't do CW. I prefer SSB, or a few of the digital modes like PSK, RTTY, or JT65.
2. I'm not on LoTW. I'm on eQSL, or paper card by mail.
Pick a band, mode, and time. I cover every band from 160m to 6m. I'm home most of the time.
I can do JT65, and most bands 40-6.
I will let you know when I have a bit of free time.
Paper QSL would be fine, I am in no hurry to get it confirmed, next hamfest with a card checker around here is in August.
