Thats for sure! I love them, they are the tank of the bass world. The black one is nice, a bass that is tough AND versatile is a keeper.

That is awesome gig short hand Adam. I subbed for the bass player in my dad's band last month, I had 10 minutes with the band back stage to prepare. Most of the music was country, so it is usually in the key of C for some secret reason. They told me to "follow them", to me percussion, and bass is supposed to be followed. Oh well, I got paid cash and invited to sit in with their rehearsals. I prefer to use the notes in the middle of the neck on the lower strings, then move up, or down when needed. I have been doing jazz sets up in D, and G up in guitar range lately. That is where I played frequently in orchestral arraignments.That is why I have a fretless as it emulates a doghouse with "bwa bwa" more than a growling fretted one.
