I see absolutely NO shame in being called a nerd or a geek...yes, i truly am a music geek! I really dont have a problem with it, and i absolutely was made fun of in school (like many of us) for also being a science/radio nerd. The way i saw things, those making fun of me were about as smart as a bag of hammers and i couldn't imagine being arrogant about something like that.
You know you're among friends though when you talk about putting up a new antenna/relocating a current one when the first thing they ask is "How's the SWR?"
