Congrats on your inductance to the thread. It's nice to know you have the capacity to participate. Many show a reluctance to join in. Just ask Mho. We finally had to send him ohm. My new next door neighbor used to be a partner in a local 2 way radio shop and used to be a ham. He had asked me a while back if I knew anyone who might be interested. I finally caught him home this weekend. The price was fair so I jumped on it.

The B&W looks rough but works great. I started working on the scope first but I will probably have to go though most of the stuff.

I always thought Mho was the conductance who made many join in so I had to ask him. He has no idea what you're talking about, reluctance is Farad's and his son Micro's magnetic domain.

Nice. Glad it worked out for you.

Personally, I'd pull the cover off that Astron, sand it, and then hit it with a couple of coats of black or grey Rustoleum. But I'm sure you already knew that.
