There...this one is truly self explanatory.
Mine is Gansta Daria, courtesy of KB2VXA. My previous was just plain old Daria. My 12 year old daughter and I had a Daria marathon a few months ago. I love her attitude and sarcasm.
I've used this as my avatar before, which is just me being all happy after I found my little Alinco.
Yeah, these days I rarely chew tobacco or smoke pipes. The reason is that every time I would get any kind of irritation or sore in my mouth I would worry that it was oral cancer. So one day I said to myself that if it bothers me that much then why not just quit. So I stopped buying/using tobacco. This was back in the early 90's. These days I'll only touch tobacco on rare occaisions.
Dennis likes to drink from the bird bath.
Used to love Garcia y Vega. Even had a cuban cigar once. Nothing else compares. During the Christmas season, I'd smoke cherry blend Panatella slims. Most of the time it was Winston's in the winter, Benson & Hedges in the summer (this would keep me from getting jaded on one brand). For a few years it was Dunhills but my favorite was Rothman's from England. Not the Canadian stuff. Of course I fell in love with the only cigarette you couldn't get in the Western Hemisphere...

I believe Arnold's Tobacco Shop in Manhattan used to sell Rothman's. I used to see them there when I came in to buy pipe tobacco. Never tried them though. I have tried Davidoff's a few times. All in all I was never much of a cigarette man. I was mainly about pipes and chewing tobacco. yeah, Garcia y Vega was a pretty good cigar and easily available at most drug stores, luncheonettes, etc. Never tried a Cuban ceegar. Most people who have tell me exactly what you are saying. Few cigars can compare.
Unfortunately Arnold's is no longer in business. I believe they might have an online presence these days, but no more store in Manhattan.
I forgot what my avatar is..
Ok, it was the hamshack before I moved it downstairs.......LOL
Mine? Some poor schmuck whose family are fanatics of a certain local baseball team.
I like you new new avatar, Carl.
"A certain local baseball team which is almost as bad as the San Diego Padres."
Strange, that doesn't look like a Cubs uniform, possibly worse or at least the name is. Then there are the Lakewood Blue Claws, you have fish, we have crabs. (You don't have to say it, I'm WAY ahead of you.)
Ya know, I wonder if the Padres' historical level of suckage does not arise from their namesake. After all, when one thinks of fierce and dangerous competitors, a guy with a shaved head, wearing brown robes and sandals is not the first thing that comes to mind.
I've had quite a few avatars. They are scattered all over between three PC's. Just changed it back to a big favorite that I asked permission to use from the artist, the "Monkey Roger". My most recent one is an actor who portrays Ben Franklin signing "hang loose" and "call me" which I find very funny.
Here are a few others that happen to be on my laptop:

Hah! The Padres ownership has sabotaged the team's entire season every year since 1999 (the year after San Diego voters approved financing for a downtown ballpark, but that's merely a coincidence, I'm sure) by refusing to spend the money for decent players. In 2012, the team had the lowest payroll in the National League.
However: the team was just sold to a group of investors that includes the O'Malley family, former owners of the NY/LA Dodgers. Given the historic performance of that club over the years—especially after the move to California—there's reason for hope.
Now with ''wink.''
Not sure if I put this one in here or not, but I've been using it.. I found it somewhere, I don't even remember where, but I've liked it for a while :)

Mine is a pic of my 2 fluffy and furry girls Phoebe and Penelope! Just petted them less than an hour ago, and can't wait to get home to pet them some more!
My dear Aunt Ethelyn wrote children's books, mostly about kids age 11 & 12.
Her generosity enabled me (first licensed at age 15) to get on the air
with a homebrew 100 watt xmtr and triple-conversion receiver (both using WWII surplus parts).
In 1968, with technical assistance from my brother W9JDG and I, she wrote Today I am a Ham.
She "borrowed" my callsign for her main character, Eric, a boy, like me, not too athletically inclined.
Over the years, it's been gratifying to receive letters and email from hams
who attribute their introduction to our hobby to her book. :)

I use this on AM Fone where the golden boys are more golden than I am.
HAL 9000 from "2001: A Space Odyssey"....with a little extra text thrown in...
My avatar is not to mock Que Are Zed Fred. That is what I look like, every day. It was taken in Hot Springs NC this year before taking a soak in the mineral waters.

This thread is a trip in the Wabac machine, Sherman. I even saw a pink Bell 47 helicopter equipped with an APU fly by... hello?
"My avatar is not to mock Que Are Zed Fred."
That never crossed my mind, but it's Easley to see the future's so bright you have to wear shades... or are those photochromic lenses? Then there is the nagging question, what's with the thin lipped stone face? Don't you EVER smile? Careful now, mum said don't make silly faces or one day it would freeze like that, and she was RIGHT.

I received a PM asking if it was a parody of a 7 lander's sig.
Well, if not it should be
He takes me deep-sea fishing in a submarine
We go to drive-in movies in a limousine
He's got a Bell 47 with an APU and a 12-foot yacht
Ah, but that's-a not all he's got
He's got tan shoes with pink shoelaces
A polka dot vest and man, oh, man
Tan shoes with pink shoelaces
And a big Panama with a purple hat band
Hello?
well my avatar is dated. It is the same avatar I put up when I joined the forum. It was my Hamshack at that time. It has moved around the house since then a couple times and right now is waiting for me to get on the roof to rehang the wire and reroute the other antenna cables back to the room where the picture was taken to begin with.I may change it one of these years.
I no longer post with an avatar; potentially, it can distract from or be prejudicial to the readers of my post.

<---we should all know what these are.
