Missed my que:
African or European Swallow?
No thread shall remain unhijacked around here for long.
I think Burp has a Flex 5000 so he should be able to do pretty well in the contest if he set his mind to it.
I love these shack pix threads, it gives me a chance to flash my junk.:snicker:

Very cool, George. Shall I tell you about the HX-50 and the HX-500 which were present at Dayton?
Im just going to add Fred's shack to mine to make it look better....

Well....minus the computer, of course. And that Iambic paddle on there there, but other than that, I love Georges shack! Thats cool!
My rig would be considered a "classic" but thats only a technicality. Lets face it, its not all that exciting in that respect.
No one mentioned the RGB monitor in the center of the OPs pic.
Theres so many cool things to look at in both Fred and Georges pics, it wouldnt be hard to miss something.
When i talk ham stuff, all i get from my wife is "Thats nice, its fun for you, baby"...but i will admit, she is always ready to help me get a piece of new gear. She knows i want a K3, but she says i need to buy my new truck first...sucks, i know.
Were not wealthy by any means, but we can pretend!
I love the speckled nose. We are making a trip to Phoenix next week to pick up our new Persian kitten from a breeder there.
His name is Chubbs.

Been partial to national gear for a several years now, but have also had Hammarlund and Hallicrafters stations in the past. Currently working on another Hallicrafters HT-32 to pair up with the SX-101, and, an ART-13 to go with my old trusty BC-348 from the 70s, and use on military nite. The old all mode Gonset GSB-100 has outlasted just about all of them except for the bc348.

Sexy.
Nice! I see that a ricebox sneaked in there, though.
Excellent, considerable tonnage for sure. I like the old rotary phone, nice touch.
I should post a few pics of the old National rcvr i have downstairs. Im guess '0ZU has some info.
I had the Gonset + Hammarlund thing going on for a number of years in the 80s...and this year at Dayton there were so many -100s present it seemed you couldn't walk each aisle without finding one.
