The whining has gotten worse, on the CQ Contest reflector, since many are anticipating, with dread, the upcoming release of the CW results.
Let 'em sweat, the cheatin' bastids.
A couple of questions:
How does CQ detect unclaimed assistance? Do they have actual recordings?
What is 'self spotting'?
How did they know the HG3 was running too much power?
They busted a bunch of non-US stations for blowing through the 40 meter band limit. I find it hard to believe there wasn't ANY US stations out of band on 40 meters OR too close to the band edges on 20 or 15.
Like Dave said, I can't believe CQ found only 2 FCC licensed stations with issues.
Self-spotting is when you report your run frequency on the cluster, instead of waiting for someone else to report you. Universally poo-poohed.
Ask OINK. He'll explain the evils of contesting and why contesting is useless. :snicker:
Much like him.
I. Guess its time for google fu on the above questions
