A-99 is a great antenna within it's parameters. Not only good for 10 meters, but I could easily load it for 12 & 17 as well. (And 15, but I never had much need for it on 15)
That said, we're still in the trough of the sun spots, so don't be disappointed if 10 meter activity is spotty. It will take a few years for the 'spots & propagation & activity to pick back up again, but when it does...
