It doesn't matter. If a woman swears that you raped her, you WILL be arrested and possibly charged until it's proven otherwise. Same goes with a teacher, I would think, if accused by a student for inappropriate conduct, you will at a minimum be put on leave and more than likely charged until it's proven otherwise. And, if and when proven innocent, this can stay on a person's record forever. How do you think that looks on the teacher's record? I would think it would be a little tough to get another job, or even be trusted by most of the parents in the school in which you worked. Even when proven not guilty. It's kind of like the parent who is accused of beating a child. Whether or not it happened, initially the same action will be taken, and the parent will be assumed to be guilty, even if it never happened. But that is the justice system, and it usually errors on the side of caution.
