As an aside, I loved the line,"I'm a teacher, and when my students say 'stuff' I make them tell me what is the 'stuff'..." lol

My electronics teacher - a ham - used to buy amateur equipment at various swap meets then cart it in to our high-school radio shack. One proviso: It was all broken upon delivery and we had to repair the stuff in order to use it.

Much fun was had.
