Why can't American commercials be as funny? I really loved watching European commercials on TV. The Europeans also do not interrupt the show with commercials, but play them after the show, so I guess they HAVE to have entertainment value, like THIS ONE (NSFW) or THIS ONE.

The point of an ad is to sell product, that should be the true measure of an ad, not some talent scout.
Yes, the later Taco Bell ads were very creative, but they did not want to make me buy anything from Taco Bell.
In fact my first thoughts were just that, drop the chalupa as well as anything else on the Taco Bell menu.
That series of ads I remember, in a very negative way.
