US law, surprisingly enough, doesn't apply in other countries, except when it comes to taxation.

in the US have and/or do drink.

Or a 10 Y/O drunk for that matter. :doh: I don't think that a "free for all" is the best direction to take. There has to be a line. No matter where the line is drawn there will always be those that bitch, simple as that.

Mentality does drastically change from 16 to 21 in many people. You can see the difference on a campus for sure. Many times you can also tell the difference between a student that lives at home, on campus, or on their own as the mentalities tend to differ quite a bit. I suppose that if we trust a 10 y/o into reality and make them survive on their own then they would be mature as well. However I would not like to see such a thing done as it is cruel.

Then again we could regress back into the middle ages and sell our daughter off to the highest bidder at 12 or 13. :roll:

In this case, yes. They can strip. However, they can't be photographed or videotaped since it would then become child pornography (which is still illegal in RI).

Interestingly enough, they probably won't be able to serve alcohol.

I'm not suggesting that 10 y/o's move out of the house
and fend for themselves. Nothing like that at all.

How about if the parents of those kids pitch in
to the raising of their kids, in whatever manner THEY
feel is appropriate. How's that for a unique concept!

Imagine they lowered the drinking age to 16.
I don't think it would increase the number of
16 y/o's that drink at all. It would simply
de-criminalize what's already going on.

If you criminalize the behavior, and the kids
"get caught" then they have even MORE things
to hate about "the establishment". And guess
what that makes them want to do.

Getting back to the original question, I'd say don't shit in the customs office.
