Just in case anyone wanted to know when the latest, greatest contest was, or which one of those daggum qrmtesters was qrming their bag chew nets  :

http://www.hornucopia.com/contestcal/

Thanks for the list. As I have said before, I am not much of a contester but I am thinking about picking up a new rig. If I dont spend all of my money at the next hamfest I am thinking about picking up a new IC-703+ and will need a chance to test it out. I see that there are a few qrp contests listed on that schedule and that will give me the prefect opportunity.

No problem. But I don't think you need a separate QRP rig for a QRP contest? I was planning on entering one as QRP but just turning down the power on my ProIII (and not cheating).

Greg, that is nice but all of that is in the contest calendar.

I would like something that we don't already link to, such as contesting tips, contesting blogs, maybe links to big gun (and little pistol) station websites etc.

Another decent resource is www.sk3bg.se/contest (http://www.sk3bg.se/contest)
They often list more obscure contests, mainly European slugfests.

On each entry, there is a link to one or more webpages for additional information
for the specified contest.

In addition, there is a running calendar for the previous year where you can go back
to any month (within the last year) and find out what contests ran and when.
This can be useful if you worked a contest, maybe submitted a log, but do not
have the web address to check on the results.

Contesting.com only seems to list contests for the current week.

Yes, there IS a yearly calendar, but the info is fixed and cannot be accessed for further information.

bill.....Back to the TARA Skirmish, the Michigan QSO Party and ther Ontario QSO Party....

Imagine working 3 contests at once....Talk about a glutton for punishment !!!!

Next big push? As in contest effort?

Probably WPX CW. IARU test and field day to follow.

Thanks for the kudos on WPX. I worked lots and lots of 6 land stations which greatly helped my score. Hope to see you down the log.

Why would a vampire attack an inanimate object? Like any other parasite vampires only "attack" things that they can draw nutrition from. Some day you will buy a clue.

CQ 160 meter CW contest this weekend.

Starts at 2200 Z (5 pm East Coast local time) TODAY (Friday)
Ends at 2200 Z (5 pm East Coast local time) Sunday

Exchange:

RST and State/Providence for USA/Canadan stations. CQ Zone for everyone else.

This is a good contest to pick up some countries on 160, if you are so inclined. This is because "everyone can work everyone" as opposed to the stuffed shirts at the ARRL, where everyone in world can only work North America.

My best antenna for One Sixty will load up but it's better at keeping the worms thawed this time of year.
