This morning I'm doing my usual thing and I check my email to find a thank you note from amazon for my Google Gift Card(s) order which I never placed. The email warned me about scammers wanting payment in gift cards etc etc.
Was this a poorly worded warning letter from Amazon not to pay people with gift cards, ie; potential scammers?
Seems so. Everything about the email seemed legit right down to the sender and the path(s) and right now the internet is blowing up over these emails as I tried to look up info on what type of scam this could be since my purchase history and bank transaction history looked normal.
